Yash Chopra-Gulzar-Shah Rukh Khan-Aditya Chopra-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma and of-course AR Rahman. The names associated with Jab Tak Hai Jaan
symbolise cinematic excellence across generations. So saying that there
are mammoth expectations from the film and its music, would be an
understatement.
The first of YRF’s three Khan releases, was bit of a musical letdown. Barring Mashallah and of-late Saiyaara to a certain extent, none of other songs in Ek Tha Tiger could make much of a mark. Whatever success the music got was purely due to the movie’s phenomenal box-office run.
With Jab Tak Hai Jaan the pressure is much higher as Yash
Chopra has had a near-perfect record when it comes to music; such that
even his lesser successful films have had a classic soundtrack.
Can Rahman deliver something truly special for Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture?
